UK birthday freebies 2026 including free food, drinks, beauty treats and gifts

UK Birthday Freebies 2026: Free Food, Drinks, Beauty Treats & Gifts

There are some brilliant UK birthday freebies 2026 offers available if you know where to look. Your birthday could get you free cake, doughnuts, drinks, restaurant treats, beauty gifts, chocolates and shopping vouchers.

However, there is one important catch.

Many birthday rewards require you to join a loyalty scheme, enter your date of birth or use the company before your birthday arrives. Some also require previous spending or a qualifying purchase.

Therefore, waiting until your birthday to sign up can be too late.

I have checked the offers in this guide against current information rather than simply repeating lists circulating online. If I could not verify an offer properly, I have left it out.

I have also made the spending conditions clear. A birthday reward is not saving you money if claiming it makes you spend money you had not planned to spend.

Bookmark this page before your birthday too. I have structured it so I can refresh the offers every year, giving you one useful place to come back to rather than relying on an old birthday freebies list.

UK birthday freebies 2026 with free coffee, cake and doughnut birthday treats

Free Birthday Food & Sweet Treats

Food rewards are some of the easiest birthday freebies to enjoy, particularly if the company is somewhere you already visit.

Krispy Kreme – Free Original Glazed Doughnut

Krispy Kreme Rewards members currently receive a free Original Glazed doughnut during their birthday month.

You need to add the birthday reward to your wallet in the Krispy Kreme app. Then show your Rewards ID barcode when you claim it in a participating Krispy Kreme shop.

The reward must be used before the end of your birthday month.

It cannot be redeemed at supermarket cabinets or through delivery services. Therefore, check for a participating Krispy Kreme shop before making a journey.

Costa – Free Birthday Sweet Treat

Costa Club members can currently receive a free birthday treat from the sweet counter.

Eligible choices can include cake, muffins, sweet pastries, cookies, buns, doughnuts and other qualifying treats.

Better still, Costa confirms that you do not need to buy anything else to claim the birthday reward.

You need to use the Costa app, provide a valid date of birth and agree to receive marketing communications.

The reward remains available until seven days after your registered birthday.

That gives you some flexibility, so you do not need to spend your actual birthday rushing between different shops trying to collect every reward.

Barburrito – Free Birthday Burrito

Barburrito offers qualifying Rewards members a free burrito or naked burrito during their birthday month.

However, this one needs planning.

You need to meet the qualifying spend requirement before the birthday reward is issued. You may also need valid photo ID showing your date of birth when claiming it.

Therefore, I would only count this as a useful birthday saving if Barburrito is somewhere you already use.

Do not make an unnecessary purchase purely to unlock a free birthday burrito.

SushiDog – Birthday SushiDog

SushiDog Pack members can receive a Birthday SushiDog.

However, you currently need at least three transactions linked to your account before your birthday.

You also need to have signed up in advance, and the birthday reward is app-based.

This is a good example of why joining birthday schemes early matters.

If SushiDog is somewhere you already eat, make sure your transactions are being linked to your account rather than discovering too late that you have not qualified.

Five Guys – Free Birthday Shake

Five Guys Rewards includes a birthday shake reward.

However, this is not a completely no-spend freebie.

You need to purchase a qualifying main item when redeeming the birthday shake.

Therefore, I would treat it as an extra with a birthday meal rather than a reason to make a special purchase.

If you were already planning to eat at Five Guys, it can still save you the cost of the shake.

Subway – Birthday Reward

Subway Rewards includes a birthday benefit for members.

However, the exact reward can depend on your membership status and current offer.

For that reason, I would not rely on older birthday-freebie lists promising everyone one particular Subway item.

Instead, check your Subway Rewards account around your birthday to see what has actually been issued.

Wagamama – Birthday Gyoza

Free Birthday Drinks

Starbucks – Free Birthday Drink for Gold Members

Starbucks Rewards Gold members currently receive a free birthday drink.

However, simply downloading the Starbucks app before your birthday will not qualify you.

You need to reach Gold Level first.

Therefore, this is best viewed as a birthday reward for regular Starbucks customers rather than an instant freebie.

If you already use Starbucks Rewards, check your membership level before your birthday.

If you rarely visit Starbucks, I would not increase your spending simply to reach Gold for one free drink.

The best loyalty rewards are the ones you earn through purchases you would have made anyway.

Birthday beauty rewards UK with beauty treats and birthday gifts

Beauty Birthday Gifts & Vouchers

Beauty loyalty schemes have some of the more interesting birthday rewards, but the conditions vary considerably. Some are genuine vouchers or gifts, while others depend on your loyalty tier or require a purchase.

The Body Shop – £5 Birthday Voucher

The Body Shop’s Love Your Body Club currently gives members an extra £5 voucher on their birthday when their date of birth has been registered.

This is separate from the regular £5 loyalty voucher earned by collecting points.

If you already have an account, check that your birthday details are correct before your birthday arrives.

Sephora – MySephora Birthday Treat

MySephora includes a birthday treat as one of its loyalty benefits.

The exact birthday benefit can depend on your MySephora tier, so do not rely on an old social media post showing one particular product.

For 2026, Sephora has also listed a specific birthday beauty gift on its UK website.

Check your MySephora account around your birthday to see exactly what you qualify for and how to claim it.

Space NK – NDULGE Birthday Beauty Gift

Space NK’s NDULGE loyalty programme includes a complimentary birthday beauty treat.

The standard birthday gifts can change each month, which means somebody with a birthday in September may not necessarily receive the same products as somebody celebrating at another time of year.

NDULGE Deluxe members receive an upgraded full-size birthday gift.

Therefore, check the current gift and collection details in your account rather than joining because you have seen one particular product advertised.

KIKO Milano – Birthday Gift With Purchase

KIKO ME members can currently choose a birthday gift from a selection of full-size products.

However, this is a birthday gift with purchase rather than a completely no-spend freebie.

The qualifying period currently begins one week before your birthday and continues for 30 days afterwards.

If you were already planning to buy something from KIKO, the birthday gift can make that purchase better value. I would not buy something you do not need simply to claim it.

Rituals – Birthday Gift

My Rituals is free to join and includes birthday gifts across its membership levels.

The current programme has three levels:

  • Level 1 – Classic birthday gift

  • Level 2 – Premium birthday gift

  • Level 3 – Deluxe birthday gift

Your level depends on your previous number of purchases.

Check the birthday reward and redemption conditions shown in your account before visiting, as the programme also uses gift-with-purchase rewards.

As always, do not make unnecessary purchases simply to move up a loyalty level.

Erborian – £5 to £20 Birthday Voucher

Erborian’s Seoulmate loyalty programme is particularly interesting because its free FRIEND level currently includes a £5 birthday voucher.

The birthday reward increases with your loyalty level:

  • FRIEND – £5

  • BESTIE – £10

  • LOVER – £15

  • SOULMATE – £20

You need to have entered your date of birth and agreed to receive programme emails.

The birthday voucher is valid for 30 days from your birthday.

The higher levels require previous spending, but FRIEND status does not. Therefore, you do not need to spend your way up the programme simply to qualify for the basic £5 birthday voucher.

Free birthday gifts UK with chocolates, shopping vouchers and craft rewards

Chocolate, Shopping & Craft Birthday Rewards

Birthday rewards are not limited to cafés, restaurants and beauty brands. You can also find rewards for chocolate, crafts and everyday shopping.

Lindt – Birthday Box of LINDOR

MyLindt Rewards currently offers a birthday surprise of a 137g box of LINDOR Milk Chocolate Truffles.

However, there is a minimum spend.

You currently need to spend at least £10 in a Lindt Chocolate Shop or £20 online when using the birthday voucher.

You also need your date of birth registered in your MyLindt account. The voucher is sent by email on your birthday.

Therefore, I would treat this as a birthday gift with purchase rather than a completely free box of chocolates.

If you were buying Lindt anyway, it can still be a nice extra.

Hobbycraft – £5 Birthday Voucher

Hobbycraft Club members currently receive a £5 birthday voucher.

You need to add your birthday to your Club profile and meet the current communication or account requirements for receiving the reward.

Check your Hobbycraft account around your birthday and note the voucher’s expiry date as soon as it arrives.

If you regularly buy craft supplies, stationery or hobby materials, this is one birthday reward worth having set up in advance.

M&S Sparks – Birthday Treat

M&S Sparks members can receive a birthday treat.

You need to enter your date of birth in your Sparks profile to qualify.

The actual birthday treat can vary and may come from areas including clothing, homeware, beauty, food and drink.

Therefore, do not rely on somebody else’s Sparks birthday reward as an indication of what you will receive.

Check your own Sparks account when your birthday approaches.

Hotel Chocolat – Birthday Treat

Hotel Chocolat’s free VIP.ME loyalty programme includes a birthday treat when your date of birth is registered.

The exact surprise can change, so check the offer you actually receive and its conditions before claiming it.

As with every reward in this guide, if your particular birthday offer requires spending, decide whether you were going to make that purchase anyway.

Which Birthday Freebies Are Actually Worth It?

Not every birthday reward offers the same value. Some are genuine no-spend treats, while others only make sense if you already shop or eat with the company.

No Additional Spend

These are usually the easiest birthday wins.

Costa is a particularly good example because its birthday sweet treat does not require another purchase.

Krispy Kreme also offers a straightforward birthday doughnut for Rewards members.

If you like what is being offered and you are eligible, these are the type of rewards I would prioritise.

Rewards for Existing Customers

Some birthday offers require previous purchases, transactions or a particular loyalty level.

SushiDog, Space NK and Starbucks are good examples.

These can offer useful value if you already use the company. However, spending extra money simply to qualify undermines the saving.

Wagamama is another good example. Its birthday gyoza requires qualifying Soul Club activity during the previous six months.

That does not make the reward poor value. It simply means it is most useful to someone who already eats there.

Birthday Gifts With Purchase

Other birthday rewards require you to spend when you redeem them.

Five Guys, Lindt and KIKO Milano are examples.

Five Guys requires you to buy a qualifying main item to receive the birthday shake. Lindt requires a minimum spend to claim its birthday chocolates, while KIKO Milano’s birthday gift currently requires a purchase.

That does not automatically make them poor value.

The important question is whether you would have made the qualifying purchase anyway.

If the answer is yes, enjoy the birthday extra.

If the answer is no, keeping your money may be the better birthday saving.

UK birthday freebies 2026 planning with loyalty apps, vouchers and birthday rewards

How to Make Sure You Receive Your Birthday Freebies

You do not need a complicated system to keep track of birthday rewards. A little preparation before your birthday can stop you missing the ones you actually want.

Join Early

Do not wait until your birthday.

Some companies require previous activity, while others need time to process your date of birth.

M&S, for example, recommends having your date of birth registered well in advance.

Also check whether joining is enough.

Some schemes require previous activity. Wagamama currently requires a qualifying stamp during the previous six months, while other programmes base the birthday reward on your loyalty level or previous spending.

Joining early gives you time to qualify naturally through purchases you would have made anyway.

Check Your Date of Birth

Make sure your birthday is correctly entered in every loyalty account you plan to use.

Do this before your birthday month rather than discovering an incorrect or missing date when your reward fails to arrive.

Check Your Marketing Settings

Some birthday schemes require you to receive marketing emails or app communications.

For example, Costa requires eligible members to have agreed to receive marketing communications for its birthday reward.

Therefore, check the individual requirements rather than assuming joining the loyalty programme is enough.

Create a Birthday Freebies Email Folder

I recommend creating one email folder called Birthday Freebies.

Move each reward into it as it arrives.

Then you can quickly see:

  • what you have received

  • where you can use it

  • whether a purchase is required

  • when it expires

Spread Your Rewards Out

You do not necessarily have to claim everything on your birthday.

Some schemes give you several days, weeks or even your birthday month to use the reward.

Check the expiry date as soon as each offer arrives. Then you can claim the ones you genuinely want without turning your birthday into a race around the shops.

Do Not Sign Up for Everything

More loyalty schemes do not automatically mean more savings.

Start with the companies you already use or genuinely want to try.

Otherwise, you can end up with a crowded inbox and lots of offers encouraging you to spend money you never intended to spend.

The aim is to enjoy your birthday and save money, not turn collecting freebies into another job.

There are plenty of UK birthday freebies worth claiming, but the best ones are the rewards that genuinely save you money.

Join the schemes you already use, add your birthday details early and check the conditions before making a special journey. Most importantly, do not spend more than you planned just to claim something for free.

Decorative header image reading FAQs with colourful question mark icons

Birthday freebies can have very different joining rules, qualifying periods and expiry dates. These quick answers cover some of the most common questions.

Do I need to sign up before my birthday to get birthday freebies?

Usually, yes. Some loyalty schemes need your date of birth registered in advance, while others require previous purchases or activity. It is best to sign up well before your birthday rather than waiting until the day itself.

Are UK birthday freebies really free?

Some are completely free, while others require a purchase or previous spending. Always check the conditions before claiming. I have highlighted the spending requirements throughout this guide so you can decide whether each reward is worthwhile for you.

Do I need an app to claim birthday freebies?

It depends on the company. Some rewards are issued through an app, while others arrive by email or appear in your online loyalty account. Check how each reward is delivered before your birthday.

Can I claim several birthday freebies on the same day?

Yes, if you have qualified for them and their individual terms allow it. However, many rewards remain valid for several days or weeks, so there may be no need to claim everything on your actual birthday.

Why didn’t I receive my birthday reward?

Check that your date of birth is correct, that you joined early enough and that your marketing preferences meet the scheme’s requirements. Also check your spam or junk folder and the loyalty app itself. Some rewards are only available after previous spending or when you reach a particular membership level.

Do birthday freebies change every year?

Yes. Companies can change or withdraw loyalty rewards and their conditions. That is why I regularly review this guide and recommend checking the current offer in your account or app before making a special journey.
