HOW DOES IT WORK?

Virtually like any insurance. If you use any of the above services & receive a valid to do. You literally upload your receipt, input which service it is for, the date, the amount and then submit. Every claim that I have submitted online I have received my payment into my bank within a few days.

A few things to note:

  • Service providers for Therapies need to be registered. Details of which register(s) can be obtained from BHSF.
  • A percentage reimbursement of costs ranging from 50% -75% up to the stated maximum per benefit year.

ARE HEALTH CASH PLANS WORTH IT?

I have been with BHSF for about 5 years now and have definitely benefited from it.  My plan costs me £14.56 per month = £174.72 annually.

If you are some who doesn’t use any of the services listed on a regular basis then this is not for you as your monthly payments could end up costing more than your monthly payments

This year alone I have been to the dentist twice and had work costing me a total of £125 (£62.50 each time) both of which I have been reimbursed a total of £93.75 (75% off the bill each time) which is more than half of the amount I pay annually for the policy. I think that is brilliant, don’t you?  I also see the opticians annually and I have claimed for not only the eye test but also for my prescription glasses.

So, in answer to the question, that I am asked by family & friends who I have told about this healthcare plan, YES I think it is worth it.
