Life hasn’t always been smooth sailing for me. I’ve walked the path of juggling multiple jobs, working endless shifts and scraping by from one payday to the next. I get it – that sense of anticipation as you count down to payday, the one day when life feels a bit more vibrant. But truth be told, that vitality often slipped away, especially for me as a single parent.
LIFE LESSONS
Becoming a single parent to two wonderful children was a challenge I hadn’t anticipated. They were growing, their needs multiplying and life taught me lessons in frugality and budgeting – lessons I didn’t sign up for but embraced nonetheless.
I had my budgeting ritual each month, but let’s be real – sticking to it was like trying to catch a slippery fish. Unexpected bills, like unplanned trips to the dentist, had a knack for showing up at the most inconvenient times.
